OLD BREWERY MEWS I

This modern 1970s mews house was brought stylishly up to date with a loft conversion and raised roof line, 3 new bathrooms including a wet room, a new kitchen, 3 large sliding door sets, underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and bespoke joinery.

Phenolic insulation board and lightweight polymer modified render was added to the exterior of external walls to reduce U-values (thermal transmittance) and fuel bills through greater heating efficiency.

The brief was to retain the 70’s style using bare wood finishes whilst bringing up to date with large sliding doors and modern fittings. Under tight restrictions the project came in on time and on budget.

Old Brewery Mews - London NW3
Completed - January 2012
Architect - Duncan Woodburn

Due to the success of this project we have worked on another property in the same mews with the same architect.

"We have worked with Elgood Builders on a number of projects: in all of them, the quality of the work has been first class and his pricing has been consistently fair. Matt Elgood is also a pleasure to work with."
Duncan Woodburn (architect)
